Company Profile

Wavecrest Aquatics Inc. was founded in 2025 to provide consulting, management, and training support to the wider aquatics industry in Manitoba. No matter whether you operate a municipal pool, a local waterfront, a private club pool, or simply a residential pool in the back yard, we are here to help.

As consultants here to assist you with your concerns we are 100% independent, and we do not endorse products or represent other companies.

Mission

Our mission is to provide aquatic facility owners and operators with a full spectrum of support services. If you have a need in your organization related to aquatic operations and safety, we want to fill it.

Founder & President

Christopher Love

Dr. Christopher Love has over 30 years of experience in the aquatics industry in roles ranging from instructor, to lifeguard, to manager.

He spent ten years working as the Water Smart and Safety Management Coordinator for Lifesaving Society Manitoba, providing operational and safety advice to facilities across Manitoba and managing the award-winning Northern Water Smart Program. During his career Dr. Love has worked with professionals across Canada and served on both Canadian and international committees related to drowning prevention.

Dr. Love has a B.A. (Hons), and M.A. from the University of Manitoba, and a PhD in the History of Swimming from the University of York (UK). His work on drowning prevention and water safety includes numerous presentations to audiences large and small, including presenting at the 2017 World Conference on Drowning Prevention.

Christopher hails from Winnipeg, although he now travels the province on a regular basis. When not working on a beach or pool deck, he can often be found curled up with a good book learning about history, pools, or all of the above
